Paper Flower Winter Project Ideas
When the snow is piling up outside and it is too cold to go out and make a snowman you can spend your time creating a few paper flower winter projects to pass the time. If you reached the point of being sick of the snow then why not create some beautiful spring flowers to display around your home. It will help you forget how cold and dreary it is outdoors and reminds you that spring is just around the corner.
In this article we will look at some great paper flower winter project ideas you can make. You will need your paper flower making book, crepe paper, and the supplies recommended in the book.
The first project you can make will remind you of the beauty of spring, a colorful tulip centerpiece that you can place right in the center of the dining room table or on the coffee table and every time you walk past you will be reminded that the cold and snow will not last long.
To make a tulip centerpiece to chase away the winter blues use bright colored crepe paper such as bright pinks, purples, yellows, blues and even red will liven up a room and your spirits too! You may want to make your leaves a little bigger than normal the color green is always associated with warm weather and the spring and summer seasons. A nice big green colored bow will add a very nice touch to your centerpiece.
Choose a container that will also remind you of warmer days such as a miniature wheel barrel or a container with a summer scene on it. Make tulips the amount will depend on the size of the container you are going to use. Then rearrange them in the container and set them in a place you will be able to see them often.
Another wonderful flower you can make to warm your heart and cold feet during the winter is the sunflower. I cannot think of a better flower to remind you of sunshine and summertime than a sunflower. You can use a window box for this arrangement. Use as many window boxes as you would like and stuff them full of bright yellow or even mixed yellow and orange sunflowers. There is no need for a bow unless of course you want one.
Centerpieces with an assortment of rainbow colored daisies will also sooth the soul. Daisies have always been a reminder of wonderful spring and summer memories when you are thinking about all those great times your heart will be warm and sunny! You can place your paper daisies in a vase, container or a window box. Daisies make great centerpieces for any room in your home. You can even pick up a few plastic spring or summer items at any craft store to add a special touch of warmth to them. We like adding birds, birdhouses, butterflies, ladybugs or a little hummingbird. These plastic items usually come on a thin stick and can be inserted anywhere you like into the centerpiece. Just try and make sure the stick is longer than your flower stems so they do not get lost in among the flowers.
These are just a few paper flower winter project ideas to chase the blues and cold away I am sure you can take your own favorite flowers and create magnificent floral arrangements with them too.
